While searching for commonly faced IE6 issues and how to avoid/overcome those I came across Stack Overflow site. Needless to say that, here we get most satisfactory answer to our questions. When specific search was done for IE6 issues and its solutions, I found the same query asked by Santosh sir which you can see here
This link says that if we include one js given here then we can make IE6 behave like IE7/8. Won’t this help reduce development time and efforts..? And may be the fixes that we need to do will be much less.

I think we did try this, but we stopped using it since it doesn’t work as they promised and lead to other js errors. Manish knows more about it.
